So what makes Light Pocket such an exciting product? For years customers have been requesting brighter and more economical light boxes to illuminate their graphics. Light Pocket uses the very latest LED technology and is extremely economical to run, yet at the same it is incredibly bright and really draws the eye to the illuminated graphics making sure the message stands out from the crowd.
The Light Pocket can be suspended in a window or positioned in an interior on almost invisible cables without the need for any ugly wiring. Units can be single or double sided. Just imagine 2 x A2 frameless double sided light pockets floating in a window bright and sparkling compared to two normal posters, the impact is tremendous.
Units are maintenance free with a lamp life of up 100,000 hrs (7-10 years). The majority of displays are normally replaced every five years so these units make sense in this difficult economic climate.
Another advantage of working with LED lighting is that it uses very low levels of electricity, therefore being very economical to run. From an operational perspective, LED’s convert 80% of the electrical energy into lighting energy and the remaining 20% is lost as heat energy. What is ideal about this display is that spare light is transmitted through the clear panel giving an attractive edge lit frosted glow to the overall pocket. It is perhaps this edge lit glow that sets the scene for the overall display where the intrigue into what is presented begins.
Graphics or posters can be changed quickly and easily. The best results are achieved from back lit inkjet prints (duratans), but standard paper can be used up to 90 gsm. Just slide the poster in and out, no tools are required.
The Light Pocket is incredibly slim with a depth of only 14mm which means that it strikes that important balance in the design between creating an extremely bright light box and a sophisticated display yet a delicate appearance can be still be maintained.
Standard sizes are A4-A2 in single and double sided options, larger and special sizes can be made to order. The Light Pockets can be suspended from Fairfield’s cables and rods.
